Systems Administrator II
JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy. The Systems Administrator II will be responsible for evaluating system specifications, managing infrastructure deployment, and ensuring security compliance across various operating systems.

Responsibilities
Evaluates system specifications, configures system, establishes standards, insures hardware/software compatibility and maintains workstations and Microsoft (MS) Windows Operating Systems for stable performance
Infrastructure Deployment: Builds and configures bare-metal servers for both Windows and Linux environments, including hardware assembly, RAID configuration, firmware updates, and OS installation
Virtualization Management: Designs and administers virtualization infrastructure using Microsoft Hyper-V; responsible for VM creation, resource allocation, snapshots, and maintaining host health
Enterprise Patch Management: Manages and deploys system updates across mixed environments. Configures Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) for Windows systems and manages RHEL Repositories for Linux systems to ensure timely application of security patches
Security & STIG Compliance: Ensures rigid security posture by applying DISA STIGs and mitigating vulnerabilities across Windows Server and RHEL operating systems
Risk Management (POAMs): Balances security requirements with operational needs; identifies patches or configurations that conflict with proprietary software and documents them via Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs)
Access Control Management: Administers strict access controls, enforcing the principle of least privilege across directory services and local systems
Network & Systems Monitoring: Specifies network requirements, monitors LAN performance, and troubleshoots connectivity issues to ensure the stability of test range applications
Qualification
Required
Associates or higher degree in Computer/Information Technology, or equivalent academic/technical training
Five (5) years related experience or combination of experience in computer system basics and/or related areas of expertise
Broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures in computer science, graphics, and information systems
Specific experience in the use of MS window server environments and various computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), database, MS Office and Web enabled applications
Planning/organizing skills and ability to work under deadlines
Capability of updating or repairing computer systems
Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
Possession of a valid, state-issued driver's license
