Airframe Structural Design Engineer - Level 4
Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time Airframe Structures Design Engineer for the Advanced Development Programs (ADP) in Palmdale, California. A successful candidate will apply technical expertise in developing solutions to aircraft structural design problems.

Responsibilities
Creation and/or modification of primary and secondary structural parts, assemblies, installations, and interface control models/documents
Contributing to developing, testing, and validating aircraft structural designs
Assisting in creating system requirements, trade studies, statements of work, and test plans
Coordination with internal Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), with some interaction with external IPTs and suppliers
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Aerospace Engineering
Experience in detailed design of composite and metallic structures
Experience interacting with suppliers, external customers and Production Operation
CATIA V5, PLM tool usage, product configuration development and maintenance
Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance
Preferred
More than 9 years experience in aerospace vehicle development
Strong CATIA V5 skills
Strong Fibersim skills
Experience using Teamcenter
Experience leading design teams
Good interpersonal skills and group leadership
Must be able to clearly represent technical issues to senior staff including trade study results and available solutions
Experience across new product development and fielded product sustainment
