Responsibilities
Play a key role in month-end close processes, record journal entries, accruals and prepare month-end account reconciliations within the close timeline
Manage the accounts payable function, including review of expense coding, vendor payments, and purchase order management
Act as key liaison for external audits by preparing schedules, locating supporting documents, and responding to inquiries
Lead accounting projects and other process improvements for the accounting and finance function
Identify and provide guidance on accounting implications of business initiatives to operational business leaders
Be a trusted business partner and work with cross-functional teams and contribute to other departments’ goals and duties as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
Detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, resourceful and proactive
Must have a strong work ethic and demonstrated ability to priorities and manage workflow to meet critical deadlines
Proven ability to foster proactive and collaborative working relationships across functions in the organization
Strong written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in composing concise, accurate and appropriately targeted responses
Advanced MS Excel skills
Preferred
3+ years of relevant experience; mix of Big 4 and industry experience strongly preferred
CPA certification preferred
Relevant experience in US GAAP; ASC 606 revenue recognition and ASC 842 lease accounting strongly preferred
