Lead Virtualization Architect

Responsibilities
Responsible for the design and implementation and operation of a virtual environment covering multiple domains and networks
You will serve as the lead over a team of engineers where you will collaborate and direct mission requirements and oversee technical implementations
You will lead the way in supporting various DoD customers in the Pacific Region as you address multiple mission requirements
You will serve as the Subject Matter Expert for virtualization technologies such as VMware ESXi and or Hyper-V)
You will serve as the Subject Matter Expert for the VDI platform (e.g., VMware Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, or Azure Virtual Desktop)
You will utilize your experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python, or Bash) for VDI management
You will be able to demonstrate the ability to monitor VDI performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize the environment for a smooth user experience
Qualification
Required
10 + years of related experience
Secret clearance level must currently possess
Secret clearance level must be able to obtain
US Citizenship required
High school diploma
Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in VDI administration and management, with specific expertise in virtual systems (e.g. Citrix Virtual Apps, virtual desktops, cross domain solutions / access solutions, VDI)
Proficiency in networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SSL/TLS), storage solutions (SAN, NAS), and security policies relevant to VDI environments
Expertise in at least one major VDI platform (e.g., VMware Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, or Azure Virtual Desktop)
A strong understanding of virtualization technologies (e.g. hypervisors like VMware ESXi or Hyper-V)
Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python, or Bash) for VDI management
Demonstrate the ability to monitor VDI performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize the environment for a smooth user experience
This role is located in Oahu, HI
Some travel to other sites in the INDOPACIFIC Area of Responsibility
DoD SECRET security clearance level
Preferred
Bachelor's degree
Relevant certifications in VDI and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware Certified Professional - Desktop and Mobility, Citrix Certified Professional - Virtualization, Nutanix Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator, or equivalent)
‘Advanced Technical Expertise' or certification in accordance with DoD 8140.03
