They are seeking a Deputy City Attorney III to represent the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power in workers' compensation cases and to manage a high-volume caseload involving various legal proceedings.

Responsibilities
Representing the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (DWP) in workers’ compensation cases filed by DWP employees
Appearing before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board
Working with a high-volume case load, familiarity with virtual court appearance procedures, occasionally traveling throughout Southern California for in-court appearances, as well as performing other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must be licensed to practice law in all courts in the State of California and the United States District Court for the Central District of California
Must have excellent legal skills and the ability to become familiar with medical terms, medical report analysis, and Appeals Board hearing and disability rating procedures
Experience supervising attorneys and support staff
Familiarity with the WCAB EAMS electronic filing system
Candidates must provide two writing samples they personally authored in the last two years
