Mount Carmel Health System is a healthcare provider in Central Ohio, and they are seeking a 3rd Shift CT Technologist. The role involves performing high-quality CT imaging to support emergency and inpatient care while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities

Perform CT scans for ED and inpatient populations according to physician orders and established protocols

Operate CT equipment, adjust technical factors, and verify image quality for interpretation

Administer IV contrast safely and monitor patients for adverse reactions

Adhere to radiation safety standards, infection control, and departmental policies

Collaborate with ED and inpatient teams to prioritize urgent imaging needs

Document procedures accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)

Provide compassionate care and clear communication to patients during exams

Responsible for entering on-line charges in the computer system (Radiology Information System-RIS) and accountable for charges as specified by the Administrative Policy, ensuring a high level of accuracy

Participates in On-Call coverage as applicable

Follows guidelines for Radiation Safety as outlined in MCHS Radiation Safety Policy Manual

Qualification

Required

Graduate of a Radiologic Technology Program

Knowledge of Cross Sectional Anatomy and Pathology required

Registered as a Radiographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

Valid State of Ohio Radiological License required

Maintain current CPR certification

Preferred

CT registry preferred

Prior experience in CT preferred
