Wizehire is seeking a Tax Attorney to join the Law Office of Pietro Canestrelli, where you'll play a pivotal role in the tax controversy team. In this role, you will advocate for clients during audits and tax disputes while enhancing your legal expertise under mentorship.

Responsibilities

Represent clients in IRS and state tax audits, collections, and controversy matters under supervision

Draft legal memoranda, IRS responses, and client-facing communications

Maintain proactive and professional communication with clients at all times

Provide bi-monthly client status updates — 100% communication compliance required

Enter time and case activity contemporaneously in Clio (case management software)

Meet performance expectations aligned with firm KPIs and bonus eligibility

Participate in all internal legal training programs, case meetings, and strategy sessions

Qualification

Required
