Responsibilities

Drive and draw from external research and internal data to deliver key insights related to trends in the home improvement and/or retail market, as well as competitive threats
Collaborates with senior leadership across functions, specifically Marketing, Merchandising, Store Operations, Pro and Home Service, Supply Chain, Finance and Real Estate, in order to understand business needs and deliver cohesive, concise insights for ways in which Lowe's can more effectively respond to what is happening in specific markets or countries in order to ultimately grow and protect market share
Translates specific business challenges and opportunities into new investment or productivity-based concepts for the Enterprise Strategy team and/or business partners, proactively seeking opportunities to drive profitable growth
Collaborates cross-functionally with and influences SVP, VP, and director-level stakeholders and their support functions to accelerate strategic business initiatives
Leads annual strategic planning exercise, with Business and Technology SVPs and Executive Leadership Team as primary audience and project sponsors. Partner closely with FP&A to shape forecast and growth expectations. Delivers strong POV on best practices and governance to deliver process with
Deliver strong POV on best practices and governance to deliver strategic planning process and strategic funding with minimal disruption and maximum clarity to path forward
Post-planning cycle, support establishment of governance around strategic initiative KPR measurement and agile decision making
Independently performs advanced, complex research and analysis, and synthesizes insights into meaningful recommendations that drive inorganic or organic growth, or performance improvement strategy projects forward
Can independently perform advanced, complex analysis and synthesize insights into strategic recommendation for early-stage business development opportunity (organic or inorganic)
Structures and presents impactful, highly visible executive-level presentations summarizing recommendations
Supports identification and evaluation of potential acquisition or partnership opportunities that will drive strategic priorities forward. Proactively networks externally to gain market insights and identify opportunities
Maintains comprehensive understanding of the enterprise and functional areas; continually monitors and evaluates competitive landscape to identify innovative opportunities to create new value
Mentors and supports junior team members within Enterprise Strategy, providing support on assigned projects
Develops strong internal relationships with stakeholders across Business and Technology to provide ongoing advisory support and gain the stakeholder buy-in necessary for the successful execution of the agreed upon plans
Responsible for remaining updated on tools and methodologies used in both quantitative and qualitative market research

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or related field or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
7 Years of Strategy, Business Insights and Planning or similar function
7 years of strategic client services or executive leadership management

Preferred

Masters degree in Management, Business Administration or related field
