The Electrical Engineering Intern will apply academic knowledge to embedded systems development, working on hardware design and automated testing of safety products.

Responsibilities

Working with staff electrical engineers to create new hardware designs:
Creating the schematic
Performing layout
Presenting your design for review
Ordering the PCB
Testing the final product that you designed
PCB test using laboratory tools such as DMM, Oscilloscope, PLCs, etc
Work with the product verification test group
Verification of new PCBAs
Learn about functional safety products
Other duties as assigned

Qualification

Electrical EngineeringPCB designEmbedded systemsC++ programmingMicrosoft Office SuiteEE toolsTeam collaborationPresentation skills

Required

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Familiarity with standard EE tools (oscilloscope, DMM, voltage meters, etc.)
An understanding of basic EE concepts – voltage regulators, inductors, laser diodes, capacitors, resistors

Preferred

Comfortable with analog and digital circuitry and design
Understanding of physics behind analog design, electromagnetic field propagation, regulators, etc
PCB schematic capture and layout tools
Familiarity with interferometer
Comfortable with C++ programming
