Senior Associate Landscape Architect/Project Manager
McCullough Landscape Architecture, Inc. is a growing, studio-style landscape architecture firm in Hillcrest San Diego. The Senior Associate Landscape Architect/Project Manager will assist studio leaders and take a proactive role in client communications, project management, and business development to enhance the firm's presence in the local market.

Site analysis and assessment
Visual and historical research
Concept development
Client presentation
Design iteration/exploration
Visual communication/representation
Manage and coordinate base files
Translating the concept/schematic design into CAD/BIM software
Creating visual contract documents
Drafting planting, irrigation, hardscape plans
Drafting construction details per industry standards
Writing/editing specifications
Preparing preliminary design, detailed plans and working drawings, specifications and cost estimates
Drafting plans for hardscaping, landscape plantings and irrigation
Reviewing landscape plans for city landscape permit process
Preparing water calculations showing efficient usage of water
Checking dimensions and layout
Target decision makers through attending industry events and networking
Gain industry presence by being involved in a client-facing industry organization
Maintain the position of thought leader through contributions to company blog and social media networks
Strengthening relations with existing and former clients
Cross-selling services and market sectors to existing clients
In person attendance at weekly All-Staff meeting
Attendance at weekly Staff Development meeting
Attendance at the weekly PM meeting
Active participation at all meetings
Qualification
Required
Minimum B.S. degree in Architecture or Landscape Architecture
6-8 years of project management experience in Landscape Architecture
Confidence with client-facing presentations and meetings
Strong organizational and time management skills
Effective communicator able to articulate complex ideas simply
Demonstrate leadership in the design process independently from Concept through Construction
Competence in local City and approval agency guidelines and permitting processes
Strong competency with Auto-CAD and Adobe Suite
Detail-oriented and keen eye to check one's own and others' work for accuracy, legibility, and conformance
Comfortability to network, attend industry events, and join a client-facing organization
Some travel required, including monthly visits to the San Diego office
Works independently, as well as can delegate a portion of tasks to others
Preferred
K12 & Higher Education and Division of State Architect experience a plus
LandFX and D5 experience a plus
