Onward Energy is an independent power platform that owns and operates utility-scale wind, solar, and natural gas generation projects across the U.S. They are seeking an M&A/BD Director to lead teams in various M&A and business development initiatives, including acquiring generating assets and preparing investment recommendations for senior leadership. The role involves mentoring staff, maintaining industry relationships, and contributing to corporate planning processes.

Responsibilities

Support or lead M&A and business development initiatives, as well as related corporate goals

Acquire generating assets that satisfy company and fund investment criteria

Negotiate and execute transactions, lead due diligence initiatives

Prepare and present detailed investment recommendations to the senior leadership team as well as the investment committee and the Board

Mentor, guide and develop in-house M&A and business development staff

Maintain strong relationships with counterparties, partners, EPCs, bankers, suppliers and other service providers

Stay current on the key market trends and regulations which may impact investment decisions

Engage with relevant industry, professional and governmental organizations

Participate in and contribute to the corporate planning process including development of strategic plans
