Responsibilities
Guide a busy, service-driven Laboratory department
Oversee a team of dedicated Clinical Laboratory Scientists and technical staff
Collaborate closely with nursing leadership, medical staff, and department heads throughout the hospital
Lead a full-service laboratory performing chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic testing
Ensure all laboratory testing meets clinical, regulatory, and quality standards
Support education, competency development, and continuous improvement for the CLS team
Oversee daily operations, budgeting, staffing, and workflow optimization
Partner with physicians to support exceptional diagnostic care
Stay current with evolving diagnostics and ensure timely reporting of results
Qualification
Required
Experience in a clinical laboratory setting
Strong leadership skills
Ability to oversee a team of Clinical Laboratory Scientists and technical staff
Knowledge of chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic testing
Understanding of clinical, regulatory, and quality standards
Experience in budgeting and staffing
Ability to optimize workflow
Strong collaboration skills with nursing leadership, medical staff, and department heads
Commitment to education and competency development for the CLS team
