Responsibilities
Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and legal briefs
Manage and oversee a substantial caseload from inception through resolution
Appear at court hearings and argue motions on behalf of clients
Prepare for and attend trials, mediations, and arbitrations
Assign and oversee matters delegated to associates and paralegals
Provide supervision, mentorship, guidance, and legal strategy support to junior attorneys
Stay current with applicable local, state, and federal laws
Qualification
Required
Active license to practice law in the State of California (required)
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior/lead litigation role, and 12 years post-bar experience
Strong drafting, research, negotiation, and courtroom skills
Proven leadership and mentoring abilities
Excellent organizational and case management skills
Preferred
Construction and/or real estate litigation experience is a plus but not required
