Simons Foundation is a research organization that manages supercomputing resources and provides HPC expertise. They are seeking an intern to benchmark cluster resources, automate testing processes, and assist scientific users in utilizing local compute resources.

Responsibilities

Create scripts that will run automated tests based on the existing benchmarks

Upload the results to the existing NoSQL database interface

Write code on the server-side to detect out-of-distribution results and send alerts to the clusters administrators

Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned or required

Qualification

Python scriptingNoSQL databasesUnix (Linux)CommunicationCollaborative skills

Required

Currently enrolled B.S. or M.S. in computer science, engineering or related technical discipline

Experience with Unix (Linux or equivalent)

Experience with scripting languages like Python

Databases: NoSQL

Must enjoy working in a vigorous research-driven environment

Desire to document code and process, deliberative decision-making

Strong oral and written communication

Excellent collaborative and interpersonal skills
