Eaton Development Program - Applications Engineering

Eaton is a global technology leader in power management solutions, and they are seeking participants for their Eaton Development Program in Applications Engineering. This two-year rotational program is designed to develop future application engineers through various assignments in manufacturing locations, providing exposure to both Applications Engineering and Sales Engineering functions.

Responsibilities

Gain exposure to the Applications Engineering function as well as the Sales Engineering function at each of their assignment locations
Get exposure to manufacturing and test functions, Eaton Field Sales and Field Applications Engineers, as well as end customers
Work in a field application engineering role in an Eaton Sales Office during an optional 3rd year assignment
Get exposure to a variety of Eaton products including Low Voltage & Medium Voltage motor control, Panelboards, Switchboards, Busway, Medium Voltage circuit breaker and fused switchgear, automatic transfer switches, safety and bolted pressure switches, protective relays, and Low Voltage switchgear
Participate in formal presentations showcasing success stories to leaders of the organization

Required

Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering from an accredited institution with a graduation date before August 2026
Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8

Minimum of one internship or co-op experience or an equivalent of 3 months of relevant experience completed at the time of this application
Must be geographically flexible to relocate within the United States

Preferred

Degree in electrical engineering
Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher
At least 6 credit hours in Power Systems
2 or more relevant internship or co-op experiences with prior experience in Utility and/or Power Distribution
Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or community
