This role involves providing strategic and operational support to safeguard classified information, requiring strong analytical skills and hands-on experience with secure telecommunications equipment.

Responsibilities

Manage, administer, maintain, and secure telecommunications equipment supporting COMSEC operations

Install, troubleshoot, upgrade, and repair secure telecommunications devices (e.g., STE) and associated CCI

Interface and integrate secure telecommunications systems with classified and unclassified network operations to ensure compatibility and connectivity

Detect, diagnose, report, analyze, and resolve hardware and software issues supporting secure communications

Assist with COMSEC audits, inspections, inventories, and training as require

Stay current on emerging equipment and key management requirements and operations

Ensure all operations and equipment comply with national COMSEC policies

Qualification

COMSEC Type 1 KeysNSA-approved Key Management SystemsSecure telecommunications equipmentTroubleshooting secure devicesAnalytical skillsProblem-solving skillsCommunication skills

Required

Experience with COMSEC Type 1 Keys and associated equipment, including installation, repair, upgrades, troubleshooting, and destruction of Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI)

Hands-on experience with NSA-approved Key Management Systems (KMS) and related secure telecommunications equipment

Possess the appropriate clearance level (Q or TS, SCI eligible)

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Must have an active Top Secret/DOE Q clearance with SCI eligibility
