Responsibilities

You will support the acquisition and integration of logistics and sustainment products and processes to enable a coherent F-35 support solution from initial acquisition of the platform to steady-state sustainment at F-35 site(s)
You will act as an integrator, planner, coordinator, and liaison for the site planning and preparation required to support the F-35 at USN Sites and Ship
You will support F-35 Partner and FMS ship and shore installation activations as required
You will coordinate requirements to standup test, operational, and training sites for the F-35 aircraft
You will support the coordination of all sustainment contract activity to include: requirements identification, proposal generation, statements of work, technical evaluations, contract negotiations, contract oversight and performance evaluation
You will maintain awareness of aircraft production status, contracting requirements, and bed down plans as they pertain to USN aircraft acquisition and basing
You will prepare and/or contribute to presentations up to the 4 Star level on overall USN site activation status, accomplishments, problems, requirements for support, and promotion of basing objectives to all levels of government and industry
You will assist in development, integration, and management of detailed schedules for needed tasks across the eight cross functional areas to ensure successful and timely standup of the F-35 at USN Sites and Ships

Required

Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program

Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty
This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11/12 grade level or pay band (DA-04) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Demonstrating a thorough understanding of advanced concepts, theories, principles, and practices of integrated logistics management to support aviation program goals and objectives; 2) Planning, analyzing, and executing to create and establish aviation integration supportability policies and procedures for major aviation systems that operate; 3) Reviewing plans and products to ensure that they meet program needs; 4) Managing project/program requirements, objectives and metrics, and resolving conflicts among schedules, funding, and resources; 5) Identifying opportunities to incorporate process improvements and best practices utilizing customer feedback, internal and external audits, self-assessment, and lessons learned activities; and 6) Advising management and colleagues on difficult problems, conducting special studies, proposing options and alternatives, and representing a command
