Responsibilities

Provides legal research support to the Prosecuting Attorney, Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney and Assistant Prosecuting Attorneys of the Tuscola County Prosecutor’s Office
Researching legal issues and questions using case law, statutes, court rules, automated research systems and programs and other legal research sources
Drafting legal memoranda for review by the prosecutors
Drafting of pleadings and correspondence and assistance in preparation for court proceedings under the supervision of the prosecutors
Assist in other areas as needed

Qualification

Juris Doctorate DegreeLegal research experienceAutomated legal research programsWriting skillsResearch skills

Required

Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited law school
Minimum of two years experience in a legal research environment, including but not limited to legal research conducted while in law school
Proficient in the use of automated legal research programs and systems
Candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent research and writing skills

Preferred

Licensed to practice In The State Of Michigan Preferred, But Not Required
