Internship - Sound event and anomaly detection
Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories (MERL) is seeking graduate students to advance the fields of machine sound source separation and anomaly detection. The interns will work on novel algorithms and collaborate with researchers while gaining opportunities for publications.
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Responsibilities
Collaborate with MERL researchers to derive and implement novel algorithms
Record data
Conduct experiments
Integrate audio signals with other sensors (electrical, vision, vibration, etc.)
Prepare results for publication
Qualification
Required
Graduate students interested in machine sound source separation, sound event detection/localization, anomaly detection, and physics informed deep learning for machine sounds in extremely noisy conditions
Senior Ph.D. students with experience in audio signal processing
Experience in audio source separation (music, speech, or general sounds)
Experience in microphone array processing
Experience in sound event localization and detection
Experience in anomaly detection
Experience in physics informed machine learning
