Responsibilities
Directly supervises associates in the Parts Warehouse distribution center
Carries out supervisory responsibilities per the organization’s policies and applicable laws
Responsibilities include recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training associates; assigning and directing work; appraising performance and recommending raises; coaching and mentoring associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Directs all incoming and outgoing material shipments and ensures that materials in the warehouse/yard are organized and maintained in an effective manner
Inspect condition and quantity of received materials before placing them in the warehouse
Properly place received materials in correct bin locations
Stocks the parts stores with an appropriate amount of merchandise
Responsible for inventory control
Enters inventory into software system (Dynamic’s, WithoutWire, and Oracle)
Coordinates Delivers parts to customer locations or job sites
Devises and implements effective procedures for daily warehouse operations consistent with Company guidelines
Responsible for cleanliness of warehouse
Operates a forklift and hand-truck
Load and unload vehicles in a safe and professional manner
Directly responsible for the supervision, management, training and development of the warehouse team
Responsible for complying with DOT regulations when shipping hazardous materials either by UPS or truck line
Practices safe material handling techniques
Filing of freight bills of lading, equipment packing slips, etc. for inventory reconciliation and audit purposes
Responsible for filing of freight claims for damaged goods
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, legal regulations, and recommended best practices
Collaborate with all Associates to uphold the company’s mission and values
Qualification
Required
Proven history and experience in warehouse management or related fields, preferably in HVAC, construction, or trades industries
Proven experience developing and implementing SOPs
Strong knowledge of warehouse logistics and shipping/receiving processes
Experience supervising and managing warehouse staff
Proficient in using warehouse management software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Strong organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills
Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment
CDL Class B license with Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) certification
Preferred
Knowledge of HVAC equipment, materials, and tools
Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, 5S, Six Sigma)
Facility/property management experience
