Responsibilities
Work directly in tools like Cursor, Claude Code, Windsurf, Replit, Lovable, or similar environments to create fast 0→1 functional prototypes, iterate rapidly on our existing product, and deeply shape how analysts interact with Mercata's knowledge graph
Work tightly with the CEO and CTO, embed directly with users, and drive short, fast feedback loops
Bring clarity to complex workflows, simplify where others add noise, and help define a product that feels inevitable in hindsight
Qualification
Required
2-4 years Front-office capital markets experience (buy-side or sell-side research, PM team, or having built tools directly for analysts/PMs) with a deep understanding of how analysts work: evaluating companies, tracking changes, forming theses, and operating under time pressure
Comfortable iterating quickly and building functional UI with Cursor, Lovable, Replit, or other tools instead of only Figma mock-ups
Strong workflow and interaction design instincts for data-dense, multi-step research workflows
Startup experience
Low ego, high ownership, strong communication
