Responsibilities
5-9 patients per day case load
Practice within the guidelines of their state licensing board, American Psychological Association Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, and MTF privileges
Conduct psychological evaluations utilizing information from clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral sources, as appropriate
Establish psychiatric diagnoses according to the American Psychiatric Association Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Disorders
Provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups; help medical and surgical patients deal with illnesses or injuries
Assist in rehabilitation of patients
Qualification
Required
Doctor of Philosophy degree (Ph.D or Psy.D) in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA accredited psychology program
Must have completed an APA approved internship. No exceptions
Have a minimum of 2 years experience as a licensed clinical psychologist
BLS required
Current, full, active and unrestricted license to practice Psychology in any state
Must have a clear background in order to pass the security clearance
Familiar with organization structure and operation methods of Air Force
Possess excellent written and oral communications skills. Effectively use correct grammar and spelling in all written communications
