Talentsearchpro is seeking a Senior Traffic Design Project Engineer who will be responsible for leading and overseeing engineering design projects. The ideal candidate will utilize advanced engineering principles to execute and coordinate assignments while mentoring less experienced engineers.

Responsibilities

Lead the design for multiple concurrent projects and tasks for your discipline

Assist Project Manager with consultative services to the client by understanding client requirements, recommendations, and solutions to enhance client experience

Attends client meetings or interviews in support of project manager

Plan, schedule, conduct or coordinate detailed phases of the engineering work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope

Design projects using advanced discipline knowledge, client specifications and guidelines using design software and drawing tools

Develop solutions to complex problems and share best practices/lessons learned on a wide scale (company, client, or industry)

Defining parameters, reviewing, and presenting alternative studies based on experience and advanced engineering knowledge

Prepare or lead the preparation of engineering documents, technical reports, memos, etc

Evaluate and collaborate on discipline’s workflow and standard operating procedures to increase efficiency

Perform and check design computations

Quality review of project design in accordance with the Project Management Plan

Provide cross disciplinary and constructability reviews on complex projects

Providing input to project manager and section head with scope development, work hours for tasks, and project schedule creation for discipline

Manage and lead work to meet provided project schedule and budget relevant to discipline

Coordinate and collaborate with team members and other disciplines to ensure project completion by the defined deadline and established quality

Delegate project work to design engineers, coordinate project requirements, and perform quality reviews

Mentor and coach on technical knowledge to advance their skill development and advise on project design

Actively participating and contributing (presenting, publishing papers, etc.) in industry organizations, publications, and/or conversations

Perform other related duties as assigned
