Project Management Coordinator
The Congressional Research Service (CRS) is seeking a Project Management Coordinator to oversee various aspects of project management, program evaluation, and outreach activities for Congressional Programs. The selectee will be a member of the management team, leading the planning and coordination of the CRS New Member Seminar, which introduces newly elected officials to CRS resources and expertise.

Responsibilities
Lead the coordination and execution of major cross-divisional Congressional Research Service (CRS) conferences and events, most notably the New Member Seminar and the Issues & Policy Seminar, and provide support for other CRS seminars as required
Outline the overall scope for the New Member Seminar, establish detailed timelines, and map out comprehensive project plans and schedules. Monitor progress diligently to guarantee the successful implementation and delivery of the seminar and adapt plans as necessary to address any emerging challenges
Develop and manage a thorough budget for both the New Member Seminar and Issues & Policy Seminar, tracking financial performance meticulously to ensure all expenditures align with allocated funds. Identify potential risks and create mitigation strategies Maintain thorough documentation to support project outcomes and demonstrate accountability throughout the process
Oversee all vendor and event contracts for the New Member Seminar, coordinate arrangements for catering, transportation, and hotel accommodations. Ensure that all service providers operate in compliance with established requirements and standards. Collaborate closely with the Office of Administrative Operations (OPS) to ensure seamless financial management across the events
Manage multiple priorities, including collaboration across CRS divisions, and maintaining the Interagency contact list, updating stakeholders and CRS leadership on the New Member Seminar, preparing reports, and ensuring project milestones are achieved
Lead outreach efforts for the New Member Seminar, effectively coordinate activities across multiple teams to enhance participation and engagement. Facilitate communication among stakeholders to ensure that all aspects of the seminar are executed smoothly and successfully
Manage other congressional programs and activities as assigned
