Responsibilities
Create and update 2D and 3D mechanical models, layouts and drawings for HVAC, chilled water systems, air distribution, piping and mechanical equipment
Develop fabrication-level drawings, equipment arrangements, pipe routing, supports and schematics based on engineer direction
Maintain accurate mechanical models in Revit or CAD platforms, ensuring consistency with engineering updates and project standards
Coordinate mechanical layouts with electrical, plumbing, architectural and structural models to avoid clashes and ensure smooth integration
Prepare drawing sets including plans, sections, elevations, isometrics, schedules and details
Support the creation and maintenance of MEP module CAD standards, templates, libraries and drafting workflows
Process markups from engineers and incorporate design changes throughout concept, design development and construction phases
Participate in model review sessions and design coordination meetings
Assist with as-built documentation and updates based on construction feedback
Maintain organized file structures, version control and consistent documentation practices
Qualification
Required
Associate degree or technical certification in CAD, drafting, mechanical design or a related discipline
3–6 years of experience as a mechanical CAD or Revit designer in MEP, building systems or industrial facilities
Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
Understanding of mechanical building systems such as HVAC, hydronic systems, piping and mechanical utilities
Ability to interpret engineering sketches, markups, P&IDs and mechanical specifications
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce clean, accurate drawings
Good communication skills and comfort working with engineers and cross-discipline teams
Preferred
Experience with Navisworks or similar coordination tools
Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (ASHRAE, IMC, IPC)
