Health & Welfare Benefits Analyst
Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a detail-minded, data-driven Benefits Analyst to help optimize and support health and welfare programs for thousands of employees. The role involves combining benefits expertise with analytical skills to enhance the employee experience and ensure compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities
Support day-to-day operations for medical, dental, vision, life, supplemental, and wellness programs
Contribute to annual open enrollment, plan renewals, and employee communications to ensure a seamless experience
Analyze benefits data and create meaningful dashboards and reports for HR, Finance, and leadership
Track vendor performance and service metrics to improve outcomes and hold partners accountable
Ensure ongoing compliance with ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA, and applicable state/federal regulations
Assist with audits, filings, and updates to plan documents (SPDs, plan amendments, summary materials)
Maintain and enhance internal processes, SOPs, and benefits documentation
Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve data accuracy, and elevate employee satisfaction
Respond to employee inquiries with accuracy, empathy, and a focus on resolving issues efficiently
Partner with HRIS, Payroll, and vendors to ensure clean data, seamless integrations, and operational excellence
Support cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the H&W benefits space
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field
2–4 years of experience in employee benefits, HR operations, or HR analytics
Strong understanding of health & welfare plans and regulatory requirements
Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with HRIS and benefits administration systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with a high attention to detail
Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Curiosity, initiative, and a commitment to improving processes and the employee experience
EDUCATION - Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
EXPERIENCE - 3 Years of Experience
