Responsibilities
Architecting and defining FPGA-based data acquisition and transmission systems
Designing and implementing HDL modules, including testbenches for verification
Developing robust hardware-software interface layers
Troubleshooting across hardware, firmware, and software environments
Documenting architectures, data flows, and interface specifications
Working with serial protocols such as MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-429, UART, and CAN
Contributing to design reviews with technical insight and innovative solutions
Qualification
Required
US Citizenship is required for this position due the requirement for TS/SCI Clearance
Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
3+ years of FPGA design and testing experience, ideally with VHDL
Strong scripting experience (TCL, Bash, Python, etc.)
HDL simulation experience (ModelSim, GHDL, or similar)
Embedded software development skills (C, C++, or similar)
Confident debugging across firmware, software, and hardware
Proficiency in Linux command line environments
Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows
Preferred
formal FPGA design verification
Linux kernel driver development
