Process Metallurgy Intern
Carpenter Technology Corporation is seeking a Summer 2026 Process Metallurgy Intern. The intern will support projects focused on quality in the Hot Rolling and Annealing areas, applying metallurgical principles in a real manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
This intern will be assigned projects focused on quality in both the Hot Rolling and Annealing areas
These projects will be centered around a data driven approach to material quality and process reliability
The process metallurgy team is responsible for maintaining and problem solving the processes that produce all of our alloys the company makes at the Reading Plant
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program majoring in Materials Science or Metallurgical Engineering
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Willing and able to work on-site at our Reading, PA location
Applicants MUST be US Citizens or Green Card Holders due to Carpenter's government contracts
Ideal candidates will possess the following characteristics: Willing to learn, self-motivated, inquisitive, and willing to work in a manufacturing environment
Candidates should have proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and have some knowledge of statistics
