Petroleum Underground Storage Tank Inspector
The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality is the primary environmental permitting agency in the Commonwealth of Virginia. They are seeking a Petroleum Underground Storage Tank Inspector to perform facility inspections, evaluate the design and operation of petroleum storage tank systems, and assist owner/operators in remedying non-compliant conditions.

Assist tank owner/operators in complying with State laws and regulations governing storage tanks to promote improved environmental performance and reduce threats to human health and the environment from petroleum releases
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of federal/state/local laws and regulations governing petroleum storage, UST/AST design technology, corrosion protection systems, leak detection methods, environmental science and engineering practices, chemistry, and basic hydrogeology
Knowledge in project management
Personal computer operations skills (including word processing, spreadsheets, and database management)
Ability to communicate and effectively, both verbally and in writing
Coursework or equivalent work experience in environmental sciences
Work experience demonstrating excellent work ethic and independent work skills
Real ID or passport may be required to inspect some facilities
This position may require you to operate a state owned or leased vehicle. Therefore, a valid driver's license is required
