Responsibilities

Lead the creation and maintenance of a detailed, transparent roadmap for both the enhancement of the existing clinical platform and the development of the new platform. Clearly articulate priorities, timelines, and milestones, aligning with the company's strategic objectives and market needs
Partner with stakeholders to identify, structure, and operationalize provider partnerships (PCPs, nephrology, cardiology, dialysis groups, IDNs/MSOs)
Translate VBC strategies into productized capabilities that enable contract success (e.g., timely alerts and care gap delivery, attribution management, risk strat, care gap closure workflows, quality measurement, upside tracking, care management support/ referrals)
Segment providers and practices by archetype (e.g., independent vs. employed, practice size, dialysis clinic/ facility-type, FQHC vs. private, single- vs. multi-specialty, digital maturity, staffing profile) to tailor product features, incentives, workflows, and enablement plans
Define and iterate provider 'programs' and playbooks (onboarding, training, incentives, analytics packages, care pathways, engagement cadences) to drive provider adoption and outcomes
Collaborate on commercial models and contract exhibits (quality/STAR/HEDIS measures, CKD-specific KPIs, readmission reduction, total cost of care targets, PMPM economics); align product telemetry to contractual obligations
Lead cross-functional governance for live partnerships: quarterly business reviews, performance deep-dives, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain a deep, current understanding of VBC arrangements (upside/downside risk, global capitation, sub-capitation, bundles, CKD/ESRD models), population health trends, and the provider enablement tech landscape
Conduct competitive and market analyses to inform build/partner/buy decisions for provider services and technology, size opportunities and shape product positioning and pricing
Translate regulatory/environmental shifts (CMS rules, quality program changes) into roadmap updates and go-to-market messaging
Define (and ensure delivery of) provider-facing experiences (portals, reports, alerts, EMR-embedded cards) that drive action at the point of care (e.g., 'order lab,' 'optimize meds,' 'close gap')
Ensure provider-facing analytics are explainable, action-oriented, and embedded within workflows (portal, EHR-integrations, notifications)
Partner with Data Engineering/Analytics to deliver provider 360° profiles, provider/ practice performance analytics, performance benchmarks, quality, and gap dashboards
Own the provider data strategy and model directory/roster hygiene, identity resolution (NPI/TIN/Group), affiliations, locations, specialties, credentialing status, capacity panels, attribution, and referral patterns
Coordinate – ensure cross-functional stakeholder buy-in – across Engineering/ Platform, Design, Operations, Growth, and Customer Analytics/ Business Intelligence; run regular updates, demos, and feedback loops

Preferred

Education: Bachelor's, or Master's, degree in STEM, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Informatics, or a related field
Comfort with Technical Aspects of Application Development: High comfort level with software development concepts and the product development lifecycle (APIs, data models, system integrations, SDLC, Agile practices); able to engage in detailed discussions with engineers and architects
Comfort with Financial Modeling: Able to build and interpret sophisticated models that incorporate outputs from AI/ML, analytics, and actuarial teams (e.g., risk scores, utilization projections, progression models) and translate them into PMPM impact, ROI, shared savings/ risk scenarios, and unit economics using market-sensible assumptions and sensitivity/scenario analyses
Domain Knowledge in Population Health: Familiarity with healthcare and population health management, including understanding health systems, patient care processes, epidemiology, public health concerns, and regulatory environments. This knowledge is crucial for developing products that effectively address real-world healthcare challenges
Domain Knowledge in Value Based Care: Deep knowledge of value-based care (VBC) models, including upside/downside risk, capitation, bundles, and specialty programs (e.g., CKD/ESRD), and experience translating these constructs into concrete product capabilities and workflows
Cross-functional/ Matrixed Team Management and Leadership: Proficiency in managing cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, healthcare professionals, and marketers. This includes skills in project planning, resource allocation, and agile methodologies. Need to be able to influence without authority
User-Centric Design and Empathy: Understanding the needs and behaviors of various stakeholders in the healthcare system, such as patients, healthcare providers, and payers. This involves employing user-centric design principles to create solutions that are accessible and valuable to end-users
Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA in the U.S. This is important for ensuring that products comply with legal and ethical standards
Communication and Stakeholder Management: Strong communication skills to effectively articulate product vision, technical details, and value propositions to a range of stakeholders, including technical teams, healthcare professionals, and non-technical decision-makers
Innovative and Strategic Thinking: The ability to identify emerging trends (e.g., AI, ML) in healthcare and strategically incorporate these insights into product development
Risk Management and Problem-Solving: Skills in identifying potential risks in product development, especially those unique to AI and healthcare, and developing strategies to mitigate these risks
Continuous education and learning: In this rapidly evolving field, continuous learning and adaptation are also crucial, as new technologies, regulations, and healthcare challenges emerge
