Intern, Economics (Summer 2026)
Secretariat is a rapidly growing firm specializing in high-stakes legal, risk, and regulatory matters. The Intern will work with a team of economists, statisticians, and financial analysts to solve complex problems and assist in antitrust investigations and litigation.
Management Consulting
Responsibilities
Building quantitative models using financial and/or data applications
Identifying and synthesizing research on marketplace dynamics, conduct of market participants, and competitive performance
Assembling, processing, and analyzing raw economic, financial, and operational data
Crafting analytical arguments; drafting reports, memoranda, and letters
Creating professional-grade presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint or similar software
Constructing econometric models using statistical software such as R or Stata (and in certain cases, advanced computer programming using programs such as Python)
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, mathematics, or related field
Proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and August 2027
Minimum GPA 3.5
Experience in Stata, Python, or R
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience analyzing data and information to extract insights
Motivation to exceed expectations
Creativity, innovation, and intellectual curiosity
Organization, accuracy, and strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Authorized to work in the US with no need for sponsorship in the future
