Responsibilities
Lead the development of the next‑generation RF software for the P‑8A Poseidon Self‑Protection (P8‑ASP) program
Help evolve the RF‑interface CSCI and integrate the 3U Direct Digital IRAD capability
Deliver the performance and reliability needed to protect the Poseidon crew and enable operations in contested environments
Design, implement, and unit‑test high‑performance RF signal‑processing algorithms using modern C++ on Linux
Develop supporting tools and scripts in Python for simulation, data analysis, and verification
Work closely with systems, hardware, and test engineers to translate requirements into clean, maintainable code
Participate in code reviews, static‑analysis, and continuous‑integration processes to ensure software quality and airworthiness compliance
Contribute effectively to rapid‑prototype builds and low‑rate production deliveries
Collaborate in an Agile, DevSecOps‑driven environment
Use the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) and Git for source control and CI/CD pipelines
Support integration activities, troubleshoot issues, and demonstrate software functionality
Qualification
Required
Eligible for Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field
4+ years of professional software development experience
Proficiency in object-oriented design, development practices, and implementation in C++ and Java
Experience developing in Linux environments
Hands-on experience with version control and collaboration tools (Git, Atlassian suite: Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate across teams
Preferred
Active Secret clearance
Knowledge of real-time embedded systems, or RF communications
Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
Experience with hardware-in-the-loop testing
Familiarity with software verification, validation, and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins)
