Responsibilities
Works with an interdisciplinary team to lead planning for a variety of transportation projects for NCDOT and municipalities
Draft and review purpose and need statements
Manage and complete environmental study and documentation tasks for compliance with NEPA/SEPA, Section 4(f), Section 6(f), and other relevant state and federal regulations and requirements
Lead community impact assessments and other socioeconomic studies
Conduct public involvement activities
Manage background research and expertise to complete feasibility studies
Conduct client and agency coordination
Support marketing and business development
Qualification
Required
10+ years of professional experience with NC transportation NEPA/SEPA studies and documentation including other related laws such as Section 4(f) and Section 106
Prior NCDOT and municipal client transportation experience is required
BS in Environmental studies, planning, or related field
Enthusiastic and dependable leader with a passion for growth
Experience in project management
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Has experience working directly with clients and developing client relationships
Must possess a valid NC driver's license to travel to various project locations and meetings
Preferred
Master's degree and/or AICP preferred but not required
