Assistant Professor of Marketing
The University of Wisconsin-Stout is seeking an Assistant Professor of Marketing to join their Business Department starting in August 2026. The role involves teaching, developing marketing courses, and engaging in applied research while supporting the university's mission of preparing career-ready graduates.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include teaching, revising, and developing marketing courses to support the Business Administration program, a Marketing minor, and general education (Stout Core) requirements
Faculty members are expected to participate in shared governance, curriculum development, recruitment, student academic advisement, scholarly research, program-level assessment of student learning, professional service activities, and continuous improvement processes, in collaboration with faculty and staff
Given the rapid pace of change in the business world, UW-Stout encourages and supports active partnerships with industry employers, including summer work experience and other professional development opportunities, for faculty to remain current in the discipline
Qualification
Required
Have one of the following by employment start date: Master's in marketing or business-relevant field (MBA), with 18 graduate credits in Marketing and 5 years of relevant professional marketing experience
Have one of the following by employment start date: ABD in Marketing or business-relevant field, with 18 graduate credits in Marketing and 5 years of relevant professional marketing experience, of which are completed upon hire date
Commitment to advancing student learning in marketing
Evidence of teaching ability
Demonstrated success working with diverse stakeholders
Preferred
Ph.D. in Marketing or a Ph.D. in a business-relevant field with 18 graduate credits in Marketing and 5 years of relevant professional marketing experience
Demonstrated excellence in teaching marketing or related fields to undergraduate majors and non-majors across in-person and online modalities
Experience and interest in mentoring undergraduate students in applied research/projects
Commitment to cultivating a work environment and student success that embraces inclusion
Demonstrated potential for applied scholarship
Demonstrated successful professional experience in the retail industry
