Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and manage all aspects of youth and adult soccer programs, including leagues, tournaments, clinics, and skill development sessions
Coordinate facility scheduling for practices and games in collaboration with recreation center staff and field management teams
Oversee participant registration and roster management using the Civic-Rec system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with departmental policies
Recruit, train, and supervise volunteer coaches, referees, and site staff as needed
Develop partnerships with community organizations, schools, and recreation centers to expand access and participation
Create marketing and outreach strategies to promote soccer programs and increase enrollment
Track participation numbers, evaluate program success, and recommend improvements to enhance quality and efficiency
Monitor program budgets, manage fee collection, and support revenue-generating initiatives
Ensure all soccer activities meet BCRP safety, equity, and inclusion standards
Provide on-site support during major events, games, and tournaments as needed
Serve as a liaison between BCRP, community leagues, and local soccer organizations

Required

Must be 18 years of age or older
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a GED certificate
Minimum of 2–3 years of experience organizing or managing recreational sports programs, preferably soccer
Strong organizational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with diverse populations
Demonstrated ability to increase participation and develop sustainable, community-based programs
Proficiency with registration software (Civic-Rec or similar systems)
Availability to work evenings and weekends as program needs require
Have an equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred

Some college in Recreation, Sports Management, Physical Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience managing program budgets and fee-based programs
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred to better serve Baltimore's diverse communities
