Area Manager - Structural and Mechanical

Responsibilities
Help in establishing the area’s goals for profitability and growth including plans to build the division from $0 to $300M in revenue at 10%+ EBITDA
Assist marketing in the development of aggressive marketing/business development and expansion plans across the South Region. The plans shall get the division to 30% of the overall annual revenue projections set by the SVP
Responsible for all salary and craft employees within the area. Hiring is limited to the Delegation of Authority and Pay Banding. Training and growing our leaders from within and hiring the best talent from the outside
Oversee project budgets, including cost control and forecasting to bring project in on-time and meeting or beating the budget This will include manpower projects, costs projections, cash flow projections. EBTIDA shall be not less than 10%, Over 90 days shall be at $0, Projects shall maintain overbilling status, teams shall close out change orders in a short timeline. All processes shall be followed and promoted
Roll out of new systems shall be supported
Work with team to drive average ticket size into the $500K range, which includes service
Manages the team to execute the initiation, planning and execution of small to large scale, complex and strategic projects
Support estimating effort through bid reviews and constructability reviews, including review of activity productions, crew makeup, equipment selection and cost analysis
Responsible for ensuring all safety and environmental requirements are met. We must keep TRIR below .45 and EMR below .55
Assures all employees within the team know and follow the company safety and work rules and policies
Ensures that all employees within the department receive the proper training required for them to operate the equipment or installation of the associated scope
Supports the planning of on-the-job training for team members to ensure safety and quality of the work being done. Timely review of job sites for safety and quality of the work
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 15 years of experience in structural and/or mechanical construction projects
Minimum of 15 years of progressive construction management experience in operations, contact administration, and/or business development
Experience managing projects with multiple crews and at least 250+ craft employees
Completion of OSHA or equivalent safety training
Experience with HCSS Heavy Job or similar job costing program
Proficient with all Microsoft Office products
