Responsibilities

Responsible for the inspection, testing, and maintenance of building systems to include(s): fire alarm, voice evacuation, fire alarm monitoring/ response, and/or other contracted activities. Communicate with Customer Business Manager and O&M team on operational issues
Performs maintenance duties with a focus on fire alarm, voice evacuation panels, low voltage accessories, fire alarm panels, and Audio-Visual devices
Performs routine maintenance and repairs of fire alarm components including fire alarm panels, voice evacuation panels, and associated field devices
Performs routine inspections of building’s safety systems including but not limited to: fire alarm systems, voice evacuation, low voltage accessories, fire alarm panels, and Audio-Visual devices, and associated field devices
Monitoring of Computerized Management Maintenance System (CMMS) for work orders and timely completion of preventative maintenance tasks and demand tasks
Conducts extensive self-study (reading, research and practice) to improve and maintain technical proficiency in facility’s systems. Completes certifications as required by the company
Proficient use of hand and power tools/instruments including drills, saws, mutli-meter, etc
Assists with parts research/procurement and maintaining parts inventory
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot reported Fire Alarm issues and convey findings to additional technical resources when needed
Interact with customers/tenants in a positive and cooperative manner
Comply with all company policies and procedures and adheres to company standards
Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures
Performs other miscellaneous maintenance duties as requested

Required

High school graduate or equivalent
Minimum of one year of experience working with fire alarms, electrical systems, or similar low voltage equipment. Applicants with solid mechanical or electrical skills who are willing to learn will also be considered
Basic computer experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and CMMS
Must possess a valid driver's license
Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment
Will be required to respond to occasional emergencies outside of normal business hours
Must be physically able to perform maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which includes ability to: climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., etc
