They are seeking a Strategic Insurance Partnerships Lead to drive their insurance market entry by shaping the value proposition and collaborating with the Go-to-Market and Product teams to develop impactful products.

Responsibilities

Lead Darrow’s entry and positioning in the insurance market, with a focus on identifying the right segments, stakeholders, and opportunities
Co-own the go-to-market strategy for the Insurance Initiative together with the Partnerships, Sales, and GTM teams - defining target segments, key personas, clear messaging, and an effective engagement model, and guiding the creation of materials that resonate with insurance stakeholders
Identify and prioritize potential design partners and early adopters in the US insurance market (e.g., P&C carriers, specialty lines), and develop clear engagement plans with them
Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with senior stakeholders across carriers, brokers, MGAs and corporate risk/legal teams (e.g., Heads of Claims, CUOs, product leaders, GCs, risk managers)
Join our strategy and GTM team in key meetings with potential partners and customers, acting as the insurance subject-matter expert
Define Darrow’s value proposition for the insurance industry
Help structure pilots, design partnerships, and commercial proposals by bringing a practical, market-based perspective
Work closely with Product, Data and Strategy teams to deeply understand customer pain points and workflows (claims, underwriting, risk, legal)
Bring structured feedback from the field: what customers really need, how they would use the product, and what would make them buy
Help define and refine product requirements, use cases, and success metrics from an insurance and risk perspective
Review prototypes and features to ensure they are 'industry-grade' and aligned with market expectations, and act as a thought partner to the Insurance Initiative leadership on market trends, opportunities and priorities

Required

10+ years of experience in the insurance industry, ideally within carriers, brokers, MGAs, or law firms focused on insurance, including senior roles such as Head of Claims, VP/Director for Management Liability/Financial Lines, Product Officer, Senior Claim Counsel, or equivalent
Deep experience in one or more of the following: Management / professional liability, D&O, E&O, transactional risk, financial lines
Complex commercial claims, large corporate programs, or specialty risks
Demonstrated ability to drive change, launch new products, or lead business transformation in an insurance environment
Subject-Matter Expertise: Deep understanding of claims, underwriting, policy structures and the commercial realities of carriers and brokers
Strategic Thinking: Ability to connect market signals, customer feedback and product direction into clear recommendations
Business & GTM Acumen: Strong business judgment and market understanding, with the ability to help shape go-to-market strategy, refine the value proposition, and guide product direction to support successful market entry and adoption
Market Relationships: Proven experience working with senior stakeholders across the US insurance ecosystem (carriers, brokers, MGAs, corporate risk/legal teams) and building long-term, trust-based relationships
Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate between insurance, legal and technical teams
Ownership & Execution: Proven track record of taking initiatives from idea to execution in environments with high ambiguity
Collaboration: Enjoys working cross-functionally with GTM, Product, Data, and leadership, and can influence without formal authority
Bachelor's degree required

Preferred

Prior involvement in building new products, lines of business, or strategic initiatives
Experience working with or alongside insurtech / data / analytics / legal tech solutions
Familiarity with AI/ML-based products, or strong curiosity and ability to ramp up quickly
Experience in startup or high-growth environments
Proven experience working with large corporates and/or Fortune 500 companies (e.g., risk managers, GCs, corporate counsel, brokers)
