Responsibilities
Develop and maintain a structured framework for analysing China’s economic and policy landscape, including monetary, fiscal, and regulatory developments
Assess the implications of political dynamics and geopolitical relations for global markets
Engage closely with senior investment leaders to shape perspectives, challenge assumptions, and deliver forward-looking views
Produce deeply researched written analysis and communicate confidently in high-stakes conversations
Contribute to the broader understanding of China’s role in the global macro ecosystem
Qualification
Required
Significant experience (typically 12+ years) in China macroeconomic / policy analysis, gained in a hedge fund, asset manager, investment bank, think tank, policy institution, or similar
Demonstrable track record of influencing investment or strategic decisions
Strong grounding in both economic fundamentals and policy-making structures in China
Ability to synthesise complex developments into clear, impactful narratives
Preferred
Mandarin language skills beneficial but not essential
