Policy Development Lead
Google is seeking a Policy Development Lead for YouTube's Trust & Safety team, dedicated to making the platform a safe space for users and content creators. In this role, you will develop global policies for YouTube content, drive cross-functional projects, and address challenges related to online content and emerging trends like Generative AI.

Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and update our global policies in various areas of online content
Influence cross-functional stakeholders and company executives regarding proposed content policy efforts
Lead research and trainings for developing new policies and understanding emerging risks across the globe. Work closely with global teams to ensure effective operationalization of global policies
Build and strengthen partnerships with partners across cross-functional groups including public policy, PR, legal, product, engineering, and sales
Understand and communicate the challenges and needs presented by the latest trends globally, including Generative AI
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
5 years of experience in a policy, legal, Trust and Safety, or technology environment
Experience with the development, implementation, and maintenance of policy
Preferred
JD, MBA, or Master's degree
Experience implementing strategic or projects in a demanding, fast-paced environment
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail in an ever-changing environment
Excellent presentation and communication skills
