Responsibilities

Maintains a detailed knowledge of all Internet Evangelism (IE) digital tools and technologies and seeks to improve operational efficiency and user experience wherever possible
Digital tools include a mix of custom and commercial software including but not limited to ministry databases, customized websites and landing pages, volunteer management platforms, email communication systems, learning management systems, and chat tools
Project manage all system or tool development with internal development teams, outside vendors, and commercial software providers, developing and maintaining Technology roadmaps for core toolsets in coordination with IE team leadership
Proactively communicates with all stakeholders in development efforts
Creates and maintains effective internal departmental processes for staff to communicate, plan, and request new technology needs
Evaluates any new web based technology systems for suitability to meet the overall goals of Internet Evangelism and compatibility to work within its existing technology structure
Coordinates deployment of new tools and/or Technology updates between Internet Evangelism staff and volunteers and appropriate developers to ensure controlled releases with clear communication and minimal user impact
Liaises with the Information Technology (IT) department and outsourced development teams, setting development priorities and planning Technology releases
Monitors all IE development activity in JIRA, providing updates and reports to IE leadership as needed or directed
Collaborates with the Communications Product Manager -Websites for deployment and maintenance of all IE websites, ensuring industry standard practices for user experience design, analytics tracking, SEO, and ad optimization are utilized
Provides UX/UI approval for assigned websites and technologies in coordination with IE leadership
Responsible for the integrity (method of collection and accuracy) of IE statistical data produced within our systems
Collaborates with software providers to drive modern digital technology development principles and standards
Builds and leverages solid working relationships with organization and technology stakeholders, user experience, technology, and advertising teams to facilitate successful technology implementation
Along with all staff, participates in direct online evangelism ministry monthly

Required

Minimum of 5 years of experience working cross functionally (design, engineering, usability, content development) to build and launch software Technologies
A Bachelor's degree in a technology-oriented discipline (e.g. computer science, MIS, etc.) or an analytical oriented discipline (e.g. business, economics, statistics, mathematics, etc.)
Broad technical breadth and depth including familiarity with mobile technology, web services and back-end application infrastructure
Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs and evaluate new ideas
Demonstrated experience and ability in project management with cross-functional teams
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Curiosity to continually re-evaluate existing designs and processes by leveraging strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
Ability to think strategically and execute methodically
Ability to simultaneously handle multiple projects and assignments
Ability to work across departmental teams and maintain accountability to common goals
Team oriented attitude and desire to serve the needs of others
Maintains a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
Faithfully upholds BGEA in prayer
Participates in daily BGEA staff devotions including Bible reading, and leading group prayer as schedule permits
Demonstrates behavior aligned with BGEA's Mission Statement, Statement of Faith, Hallmarks, policies, and expectations
Effectively represents Jesus Christ to those within both personal and professional spheres of influence

Preferred

Familiarity with agile and waterfall development methodologies
Familiarity with digital evangelism initiatives and strategies
