Responsibilities
Providing siting, permitting, planning, licensing, compliance and environmental oversight of marine, coastal, geotechnical, and structural projects
Managing multiple projects within the scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensuring quality standards on project deliverables
Managing the delivery of projects including, project planning and controls, financial management, change management, risk management, and contract/subcontract management
Assisting with managing waterfront structure and marine infrastructure projects
Providing design and engineering services for a variety of areas such as ports, harbors, marinas, vessel mooring and berthing structures, bulkheads and seawalls, breakwaters and shore protection structures, shoreline stabilization and sediment management
Preparing engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and permit applications; and
Effectively stewarding and building client relationships to obtain repeat business
Developing business opportunities with new and existing clients and preparing associated proposals
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in civil, coastal, structural or geotechnical engineering
At least 10 years of related experience overseeing coastal, marine, geotechnical, and structural engineering projects; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience in managing permitting, planning, compliance and oversight of coastal projects
Experience managing the overall delivery of projects including, project planning and controls, financial management, change management, risk management, and contract/subcontract management
Strong oral and technical writing skills
Experience with international civil and structural design standards including Eurocode and British Standards
Preferred
Advanced degree in civil, coastal, structural or geotechnical engineering
