Responsibilities

Source and evaluate acquisition targets using SCC's proprietary sourcing platform

Lead negotiation and deal structuring (including LOIs, debt, equity, and seller rollovers)

Oversee due diligence (financial, legal, market, operational, etc.)

Present investments to SCC's IC and external capital partners

Lead post-close value creation and serve on portfolio company boards

Support CEO recruitment and key management hires

Manage exits including sales, recaps, and other liquidity events

Maintain and grow relationships with intermediaries, lenders, and other referral sources

Qualification

Required

7+ years total experience, with a minimum of 3+ in lower middle market PE, search funds, or independent sponsor work

Demonstrated ability to originate, lead, and close buyout transactions

Strong financial modeling and accounting skills (3-statement models, LBOs, returns analysis)

Strategic thinker with BOD-level leadership experience and operational insight

Excellent communication and deal negotiation skills

Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to work independently and drive transactions

BA/BS required; MBA or other advanced degree a plus

Willingness to travel up to 15%
