Vice President, Fleet Strategy and Loss Prevention
YMX Logistics is seeking a Vice President of Fleet Strategy and Loss Prevention who will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to optimize fleet operations and ensure regulatory compliance. This strategic leader will oversee cost management initiatives, drive operational efficiency, and champion safety and sustainability across the organization.
Responsibilities
Formulate and implement strategies to optimize fleet assets, reduce costs, and minimize operational risk in alignment with company growth and sustainability objectives
Oversee fleet and risk management budgeting processes, ensuring financial discipline and cost-effectiveness
Ensure optimal utilization of fleet assets, including acquisition, maintenance, and disposal
Integrate advanced technologies (e.g., telematics, GPS tracking) to improve fleet efficiency and performance
Maintain compliance with all safety, environmental, and operational regulations
Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for fleet operations
Design and oversee safety programs and driver training to reduce accidents and enhance safety culture
Manage insurance policies, claims, and relationships with insurance providers
Continuously evaluate and improve fleet management processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
Establish and monitor KPIs to measure fleet performance and risk management effectiveness
Lead, mentor, and develop the fleet and risk management team to ensure high performance
Collaborate with operations, finance, HR, and other departments to align strategies with company objectives
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers, negotiating favorable contracts
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders on fleet performance and risk initiatives
Drive sustainability initiatives, including fuel-efficient vehicles and carbon reduction strategies
Stay abreast of industry trends and integrate innovative technologies and practices
Develop and implement crisis response plans for emergencies impacting operations
Ensure robust business continuity and recovery plans to minimize operational disruptions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Risk Management, or related field
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in fleet management, safety, or risk management
Proven track record in strategic planning, cost oversight, and operational optimization
Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, insurance management, and safety standards
Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
Experience with fleet technologies and sustainability initiatives
