Project Applications Engineer I

Responsibilities

Review RFQs and collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to prepare accurate quotations, including pricing, specifications, and Bill of Materials
Serve as a technical resource for internal and external customers, supporting application engineering and onsite services as needed
Track and communicate order details, technical requirements, and customer information. Maintain compliance with MEPPI’s quality system
Identify and recommend proper application of CPSD products to meet customer needs
Develop, present, and review electrical, schematic, system, and mechanical drawings
Prepare written and verbal communications to describe and promote CPSD products
Work with management and internal teams to minimize risk and exposure on customer and vendor orders, and evaluate cost-saving opportunities
Support factory witness tests as necessary
Identify cost improvements and suggest new product opportunities

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
0–2 years in applications engineering or technical sales in power quality/distribution
Familiarity with UPS systems, power quality equipment, batteries, and distribution switchgear
Ability to read and create technical drawings
Strong communication and presentation skills
Analytical and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CAD software, and ERP systems
