Director of Public Programs & Audience Engagement

Frank Lloyd Wright Trust is seeking a Director of Public Programs & Audience Engagement to create and implement both in-person and virtual programming related to architecture, design, and American culture. The role involves collaboration with various departments, grant-writing, budget management, and supervision of educational staff.

Responsibilities

Creates long-range programming objectives that include a variety of content and that appeal to varied audiences
Tracks local and national trends in programming
Plans annual programming general content and schedule with CEO
Creates and implements in-person and virtual programs working with Communications Office on audience objectives and engagement, and other related departments that support programs
Conducts evaluation summaries of programs
Working with Development department, participates in grant-writing related to programs and education and prepares final grant reports on funded programs
Prepares annual department budget, tracks expenditures, and manages programs and education within the established budget
Explores opportunities for program partnerships with other local, regional and national non-profit organizations
Supervises education staff programs for youth and families
Incorporates Trust member benefits into programming
As a team member of the Trust, demonstrate positive interpersonal skills that promote open communication and respect for all positions, maintenance of confidentiality and contribute to the success of the organization

Required

Bachelor's degree in education, arts management, art history, art/architecture, or American cultural history
Related post-graduate training or credentials
Minimum 5 years experience managing programs with successful track record in a non-profit setting
Strong organizational skills
Strong writing, speaking, and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with virtual programming
Proactive and collegial
Ability to travel to all Trust's sites as needed
