Legal Executive Assistant- Eau Claire, Wi
Godfrey & Kahn is seeking a Legal Executive Assistant to assist attorneys in their Eau Claire office with various corporate matters, real estate, and estate planning. The role involves managing legal documents, conducting research, and supporting client relationships while ensuring high levels of organization and professionalism.
Responsibilities
Assisting with corporate transactional work, including, but not limited to closings of acquisition, financing and reorganization transactions
Drafting, editing, and finalizing corporate resolution documents, organizational documents, closing certificates, correspondence, and similar documents
Building relationships and communicating professionally with clients, both internal and external, via email and phone
Performing legal research, filing and maintenance of paper and electronic documents and records
Proofreading all materials for typographical errors, office style conformity, accuracy and inclusion of required information and enclosures
Managing attorney expenses and check requests, as well as monitoring and reporting their CLE credits
Preparing, reviewing, and finalizing client invoices, as well as reconciling monthly credit card statement
Scheduling and managing internal and external meetings and calendars, including working with the receptionist team to reserve meeting rooms and ensure meeting needs, such as refreshments and meals, are available as needed
Cross-training and assisting with real estate, bankruptcy/restructuring and other firm practice groups as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience required
Ability to navigate work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple deadlines with strong organizational skills, and work effectively under pressure on time-sensitive projects
Excellent critical thinking, analytical, research, writing and editing skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Advanced proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and web-based research
Preferred
Paralegal certificate, or the willingness to work towards is preferred
Experience or working knowledge with corporate transactions, state and government agencies, entity management, and corporate maintenance preferred
