Responsibilities

Performs cost engineering functions, including cost estimating, project setup, control, analysis, forecasting, and trend program coordination
Prepares and coordinates the implementation of cost reporting and ensures accuracy, as directed
Prepares specific budgets in accordance with prescribed standards and procedures
Implements measurement systems for given processes, analyzes performance metric results, and identifies opportunities for improvements
Gathers and verifies data pertaining to workforce and quantities to update progress and performance reports
Prepares and presents cost information at meetings, as directed

Required

Requires a University Hire with 1-2 years of experience or 5-6 years of relevant work experience
Skilled in oral and written communication with demonstrated skill in presenting scheduling information
Intermediate level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start-up work processes, as performed by Bechtel
Demonstrated skill in monitoring budgets / forecasts, and analyzing costs and commitments
Ability to take initiative in project related tasks and coordination with various stakeholders
Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload to ensure effective project delivery
Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team atmosphere
Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and solving problems
