Fiber Optic / Low Voltage Technician

They are seeking a Fiber Optic / Low Voltage Technician to perform installation and maintenance of fiber optic cabling in secure environments, ensuring adherence to safety and security protocols.

Responsibilities
Install, route, and secure fiber optic cabling within SCIF-rated pathways
Install overhead and wall-mounted cable tray systems to support cabling infrastructure
Terminate, splice, and test singlemode and multimode fiber (Corning systems)
Conduct OTDR, power meter, and continuity testing with detailed reporting
Install racks, patch panels, grounding systems, and secure cable management hardware
Read and interpret SOWs, site drawings, and security compliance guidelines
Follow strict SCIF access, escort, and material handling protocols
Perform work in accordance with BICSI, TIA, and DoD standards
Qualification
Required
Minimum 3–5 years low-voltage / structured cabling experience
Hands-on experience with fiber optic installation, splicing, and testing
Experience installing cable tray, conduit, and grounding systems
Valid Driver's License
Must be eligible for DoD background check and SCIF access
Preferred
Prior work in government, military, or high-security environments preferred
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 - Preferred
BICSI Installer 2, Fiber or Copper- Preferred
Corning, CommScope, or Panduit Certification
Active DoD Security Clearance (Secret or higher preferred)
