Responsibilities

Analyze requirements and design test plans to prioritize test activities for each iteration

Serve as subject matter specialist, and provide testing knowledge for the support of user requirements of complex to highly complex software/hardware applications

Write, implement, and report status for system test cases

Develop, maintain, and execute manual and automated test scripts

Analyze and document test results and recommend user story adjustments

Perform validation after deployment dry run

Perform new functionality and regression testing throughout the sprint cycle, including load testing

Validate proposed system architecture and run test procedures to ensure that the user stories are met

Work with other Test Engineer contract staff related to cross-training and knowledge sharing activities

Function as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) regarding the organization’s testing software and methodologies and provide recommendations to the government related to production implementation strategies, advanced troubleshooting techniques and root cause analysis

Collaborate with management and IT counterparts to define, refine, and maintain IT testing strategies, ensuring strategies are aligned to the goals of the Agile-Scrum development environment

Design, develop, and maintain automated and manual testing methods to confirm operational software is defect-free and design objectives are met

Evaluate, recommend, and implement automated test tools and strategies

Use automated testing tools the government requests, including but not limited to JIRA, QuickTest Professional, LoadRunner, Selenium Tool Suite

Develop, maintain, and upgrade automated test scripts and architectures for application products

Required

Shall have four years of relevant experience in software testing

Must be able to demonstrate working in an operational environment where priorities change frequently

Must be able to demonstrate expertise in information system design, including application programming on large-scale database management services and the development of complex software to satisfy design objectives

TS/SCI security clearance required

Bachelor's degree in related field
